Photography

I started to love photography since the year 2000 when I go to Washington D.C. and New York. I tried to use camera to record all that I have seen during that trip. Later on, because I have the opportunity to travel around the world to many places, I hope to use the camera to best record all the beautiful scenaries I have ever seen. So, I paid more attention on detailed issues of photography including technical issues and art issues. The more related works I appreciate, the more I like this type of art.

Because I like traveling, I like taking pictures of the beautiful scenary rather than people. Another reason I selden take portrait picture is that I am not brave enough to point my camera directly to another one's face.

Now the equipment I use is as follows: Canon EOS Digital Rebel body, Canon EF 17-40mm/F4 L lens, Canon 77mm UV, 256M CF card, Minolta 300X body, Seagull 50mm 1:1.8 MC standard lens, Tokina 28mm 1:2.8 lens and Koboron 28:70mm 1:3.9 MC lens, Hoya HMC 49mm UV, Hoya 55mm UV, Hoya 49mm PL.

Travel

The scenary on the left is incredible, isn't it? That's Tibet, my dream place forever. It's the place that is the closest to the God. I am so proud that it's in my motherland, China. I love it not only because of those splendid natual scenaries, but I also want to learn more about the religion there. I hope, soon, I can sit on the coast of the holy lake "Na Mu Cuo" and feel the peaceful mind inside.

Luckily enough, since high school, I got many opportunities to travel around the world. There are many reason that I like such experience. I like being in a new place, I like sitting on a vehicle heading for a strange place. I like to experience a new culture and the life they lead in the strange place. Also, I like beautiful natual scenaries.

I have been to three different countries during the past 6 years, Japan, USA and Chile. Now I am in Canada.Among all those countries, Chile is the one that really brings me culture shock. I am so amazed that it is really a country for dance. The various kinds of dance made me feel excited. Maybe I prefer cultures with long history and enthusiastic emotion.

Music

Everybody likes music. For me, I like various kinds of music, especially pure music. Classical music and New Age music are my favorate. Actually, what I often liten to is New Age music including some movie sound tracks. I listen to it because it will not distract me when I was working. Also they make me feel released. Another important reason I prefer pure music is that, different from most pop music, I seldom feel tired of them so that I do not need to update them frequently.^-^

On the other hand, I like Chinese original music a lot. Actually, I am only familiar with those in the early 90's. It just remind me of the good old days in my junior high school with my friends.
