Well, I finished grad school and decided to go to the wild world of industry as a software engineer. You know the market has been crap since last year, where you keep hearing about the layoffs and interest rates keep going up, but hey, what could I do? Finding a job in tech is often associated with algorithmic puzzles and LeetCode-style problems. But here's the real deal: that's just the tip of the iceberg. The game gets real tricky before and after the technical interviews. I spent five months on the job market, applied to over 100 jobs, and interviewed with 28 companies. In this talk, I'll go through my job market experience and tell you what happened in the past couple of months.
