ABOUT ME

I'm a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of British Columbia, under the supervision of Dr. Joanna McGrenere and Dr. Peter Graf. I'm pursuing research in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), focusing on interface design, mobile computing and universal usability. My research interests include exploring how to improve mobile device software user interfaces and designing innovative assistive  technologies for populations with special needs.

I'm actively involved in a number of groups at UBC: Aphasia Project, Interaction Design Reading Group, and UbiComp Reading Group.

My MSc research work was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Jane Fritz and Dr. Joanna Lumsden at the University of New Brunswick. My undergraduate degree was in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo. After graduating from Waterloo, I spent a number of years working full time in industry.
