In July of 1993, we hiked up to Mt. Assiniboine Provincial Park. The
park is at approximately the 7000 ft. level in the Canadian Rockies,
and lies across the British Columbia and Alberta borders. When we
started in Kananaskis (a provincial park area in Alberta), the weather
was great and it stayed that way all the way up. Here is a nice shot
of Mt. Assiniboine.
But, by the end of the week, the weather took a bit of a turn, and it
was somewhat snowy and cold on the trip down.
Luckily, that was only for the first mile or two, and we eventually hit sunnier slopes.
