Pooyan Fazli and Alan K. Mackworth. Human-Robot Teams in Entertainment and Other Everyday Scenarios. In Proceedings of the International Conference on Advances in Computer EntertainmentTechnology (Salon de ACE), ACE 2009, Athens, Greece, October 2009.
A new and relatively unexplored research direction inrobotics systems is the coordination of humans and robotsworking as a team. In this paper, we focus upon problemdomains and tasks in which multiple robots, humans andother agents are cooperating through coordination tosatisfy a set of goals or to maximize utility. We areprimarily interested in applications of human robotcoordination in entertainment and other activities of dailylife. We discuss the teamwork problem and propose anarchitecture to address this.
