I (Ed Knorr) received my PhD and MSc from the
University of British Columbia,
under the
direction of Raymond Ng. My undergraduate degree (BMath, co-op)
came from the
University of Waterloo.
My former employers are Westech Information Systems (now Accenture) and Amoco
(formerly Dome Petroleum and Hudson's Bay Oil & Gas). I also worked
at the Centre for Advanced
Studies in IBM's Toronto Laboratory, and at UBC as a Sessional
Lecturer.
I'm a tenured senior instructor and undergraduate advisor in UBC's Computer
Science department.
My teaching portfolio includes database systems, discrete mathematics, data
structures, operating systems, engineering computation & design (in C),
and object-oriented programming (in C++).
