Research

My current research focus is in the fields of information visualization and human-computer interaction. In addition to thesis work (M.A.Sc., and B.A.Sc.), I have spent four summers and a winter at industry research labs:

  1. 2004: Developed a technique to visualizing html pages on small screens at Microsoft Research in Redmond, Washington, USA with the Visualization and Interaction for Business and Entertainment (VIBE) group.
  2. 2005: Developed a scalable visualization for hundreds of line-graphs at the Agilent Laboratories in Palo Alto, California, USA with the System Biology group.
  3. 2006/7: Developed a visualization tool for exploratory analysis of web session log data at Google Inc., Mountain View, California, USA with the Search Quality group.

In the past, I have done research in areas of chemistry (where I obtained my B.Sc.), and medicine.

Usability and Software Designer (2001-2004)

During my three years at external pageNeoteric Technology Ltd, I designed and developed desktop and mobile applications for health care providers (physicians, nurses, and laboratory personnels).
