Welcome
I am a PhD candidate under the supervision of Gail Murphy at the University of British Columbia (UBC) since September 2005.
My current research focuses on aiding developers to answer questions over integrated information. However, I am generally interested in software engineering and supporting software developers by understanding what they need and how we can help them to better manage the information and systems they have to deal with.
Before starting my PhD, I completed my Diploma degree at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, Germany. During my studies, I conducted my diploma thesis at the OBASCO (Objects, Aspects and Components) group at the Ecole des Mines de Nantes in France in 2004 and spent a year as a visiting student at the UBC in 2002/03.
I am however not working the whole time. I like to travel to and live in different cities and the pleasure of meeting new people and friends. I also love rowing, hiking in the summer as well as in the winter (back-country skiing) with friends or family, and sitting at the beach. You can find some more details about me on my personal page.
