I've been working with Gail Murphy in the Software Practices Lab at the University of British Columbia since April 2009. My interests include the intersection of human-computer interaction and software engineering.
Previously, I finished my Ph.D. under Andrew P. Black at Portland State University in February 2009. My dissertation topic investigated how to construct refactoring tools that programmers actually want to use.
Do you think that our interests overlap? I'm always looking for collaboration; you can reach me at emhill-at-cs-dot-ubc-dot-ca. You can also find me at ICSE 2009 and OOPSLA 2009.
