Welcome to my blog...It's more of an occasional-random-quirky-thought blog or a check-out-this-cool-link blog than one of those this-is-what-i-had-for-breakfast-today-and-these-are-my-feelings-about-life blogs and it's definitely not one of those awful i'm-useful-and-have-important-things-to-say-and-i'm-contributing-to-society blogs. Enjoy.

Okay, so I may have ended up at the River Rock Casino Resort on Friday night... with Canada's largest poker room. But the most entertaining thing I saw was the Winning for Dummies Slot machine. Too funny.

So Halloween has come and gone, and I'm a year older. -sigh- This is the best story from the Halloween festivities this year...

There was an attractive woman dressed up as a 'female jedi'. We talked and joked around for a bit. I asked her if she could play a jedi mind trick on me, and it went like...

JEDI: "You will buy me a drink"
DAVE: "I will buy you a drink"
[We start heading to the bar]
[She stops, turns around & grabs her friend]
JEDI: "And my friend too"
DAVE: "And your friend too"
[Time elapses & I bump into the 2 girls again]
[I hang out with them for a bit and then she says the line of the night...]
JEDI: "These aren't the girls you're looking for... Move along"

I'm still laughing
So apparently Melody Anderson has said that Flash Gordon (1980) will finally be released on DVD next year for the 25th anniversary. A quick google on Melody popped up an interesting 'Canadians in the Movies' website I had never heard of before.
