Information

Information was created as a course project for Animate Arts IV at Northwestern University in the winter term of 2006. It is a 3D animated short about a government agency designed for information gathering. Upon securing a copy of the information, the original is disposed of.

I designed a Rube Goldberg machine to represent the inner workings of the government agency, and drew from various sources of inspiration, such as The Prisoner TV show from 1967 and a movie called Brazil from 1985.

I used Maya's physics engine to perform the rigid body collisions that drive the motion of the information balls throughout the short. Other then that, I was responsible for everything involved in the creation of Information.
